Pinckney kitchens
Kitchen Remodeling in Pinckney, MI
Seghi Renovations remodels kitchens for homeowners in the Pinckney area, from houses in the village to lake homes along the Huron River Chain of Lakes. We manage the design, selections, permits and construction so your remodel goes smoothly from start to finish.
Village homes and lake homes
Pinckney was platted in 1837 and incorporated as a village in 1883, and it sits inside Putnam Township next to the Pinckney State Recreation Area. Over the years, much of the land around the area's lakes was sold for summer cottages, and the area saw major growth again from the mid-1960s through the late 1970s.
That history means Pinckney kitchens come in every age and size. Lake homes that started as summer cottages often have small kitchens that were never meant for year-round family life. Homes from the 1960s and 1970s growth years frequently still have their original closed-off layouts. We design each kitchen around what your home needs now.
A Pinckney address can mean several communities
A Pinckney mailing address reaches well beyond the village, into Putnam, Hamburg and Dexter townships. Dexter Township is in Washtenaw County, while Putnam and Hamburg are in Livingston County. That means the permit office depends on exactly where your home sits. We confirm the right building department for your address and handle the permits and inspections for you.
What your Pinckney kitchen remodel can include

Aging in place
Aging-in-place kitchens for Pinckney homeowners
Seghi Renovations specializes in aging-in-place remodeling, and the kitchen is one of the best places to start. A well-planned kitchen lets you keep cooking, hosting and living independently in the home you love, now and for years to come. We design these kitchens to be safe and easy to use without looking clinical.
Many Pinckney-area homeowners bought their lake home to enjoy for the rest of their lives. Former cottages often have tight spaces and steps between rooms, so a kitchen remodel is a great time to add room to move, better lighting and storage that's easy to reach.
- Pull-out shelves and drawers instead of deep, hard-to-reach cabinets
- Counters at more than one height, for sitting or standing
- Wider walkways that work with a walker or wheelchair
- Bright task lighting and under-cabinet lighting
- Slip-resistant flooring with smooth, level transitions
- Easy-grip cabinet hardware and lever-style faucets
